PTYD HEALTH & SAFETY UPDATE (COVID-19)
Our number one priority at Prep to Your Door is the health and safety of our community and internal team. We want to take a moment to update you on the enhanced measures we are taking to ensure your safety, as well as outline the best practices we deploy on a daily basis to keep your food safe.
Please read on to learn how we will continue to keep our community safe and nourished with the highest quality, locally sourced foods:
● We are monitoring the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) closely, and taking active measures to upgrade our health and safety practices from food safety compliance to medical grade where appropriate.
● We are consulting health experts and monitoring expert recommendations, including guidance from local Austin city officials, World Health Organization (WHO), Center for Disease Control (CDC), and Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center.
● We are performing basic health checks for all PTYD staff before entering the facility, including temperature checks, and expanding our standards for hand-washing, uniform, hair, and hygiene to medical grade.
● We are upgrading delivery precautions, equipping delivery drivers with hand sanitizer, anti-bacterial sprays, and safety gloves to change between each delivery.
Fortunately, our Co-Founder/President, Heather Emerson, has professional medical training as a former nurse in the United States Air Force. She is spearheading training across kitchen and delivery staff to ensure that every additional precaution is taken to deliver food safely and securely to your home.
"The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have no reports of human
illness that suggest that COVID-19 can be transmitted by food or food packaging", but we remain vigilant in working to
ensure efficacy and safety remain our top priority.
Thank you as always for your trust and partnership. Our promise to you is to go above and beyond to ensure the highest quality of food service to you and your loved ones in the coming months.
As a small business, please understand that there may be delays or disruptions as a result of our commitment to safety for all of our PTYD family. Your support at this time is more important than ever.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at any point with questions or concerns.
In service of our community,
Faiez Rana & Heather Emerson
