5 People Who Can Assist You On Your Healing Journey

Last week I condensed Day 1 of the 2019 IIN Transform Health Conference.

Here are the speakers from Day 2, along with links to do your own personal research project :-P

Lissa Rankin

Describes herself as more of a mystic than an MD. Working with patients who experience spontaneous remissions https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spontaneous_remission led her to a much more adventurous and holistic study of healing than is the norm. She travels all over the world to experience medicine from healers of different cultures. As a result of these experiences she emphasizes emotional, psychological & spiritual healing. On Sunday she also talked about Internal Family Systems , and how it can be used to treat trauma and sickness. Main fascinating takeaways included that life is a process of learning what we can and can’t control, that some things in life want to remain a mystery, and that the more we can make peace with our own conflicting internal parts the more joy and good health we will experience as a result.

Pilar came back & introduced us to ultradian rhythms. She explained the importance of taking 20 minute breaks throughout the day in order to balance out the fatigue and stress of being productive. This simulates the cyclical and wave like patterns that occur in nature and allows our bodies to self regulate and avoid burnout.

Dr David Ludwig

Books: Always Hungry, Always Delicious, FS2 Study

A concise and convincing speaker for the more science-minded among us.

He debunks the calorie in-calorie out model of weight loss dieting and explains what he calls the Carbohydrate-Insulin Model of Obesity. His clinical studies disprove the myth that all calories are created equal and shows how different macronutrients of identical caloric content have drastically different impacts on the body when it comes to weight gain, weight loss & weight maintenance.
